Crying while doing your makeup is pretty counter productive

“"Don't let cancer steal second base"? Seriously? Shame on you. Breast cancer research is about saving women not play things for other people.”
-urlgrayhot

I believe your judgement is rather ill placed. This slogan was not created by me nor was this photo, it is simply something I found on the web. While we can all agree that it is not the classiest out there, it does its job by drawing attention and awareness to the topic at hand particularly with the younger generation just as the I<3boobies campaign has done for the past thirteen years. As a graduate student of public health, believe me when I say that awareness is 9/10ths of the battle for preventing many diseases including breast cancer.

I know exactly what breast cancer research is about as I’ve had several family members undergo life saving surgery’s and chemo-therapies to stop the progress of the disease, so maybe next time you feel like verbally attacking someone you don’t know over a Tumblr photo posted months ago you should check you’re judgmental attitude at the door.

SO

My life is going to be hell for the next 4 weeks as I finish out the semester. Unfortunately my queue dried up while I was on spring break in Mexico, so I will be posting very little (if at all) for the next couple weeks
><

I miss you already Tumblr

“When I was in college, a teacher once said that all women live by a ‘rape schedule.’ I was baffled by the term, but as she went on to explain, I got really freaked out. Because I realized that I knew exactly what she was talking about. And you do too. Because of their constant fear of rape (conscious or not), women do things throughout the day to protect themselves. Whether it’s carrying our keys in our hands as we walk home, locking our car doors as soon as we get in, or not walking down certain streets, we take precautions. While taking precautions is certainly not a bad idea, the fact that certain things women do are so ingrained into our daily routines is truly disturbing. It’s essentially like living in a prison - all the time. We can’t assume that we’re safe anywhere: not on the streets, not in our homes. And we’re so used to feeling unsafe that we don’t even see that there’s something seriously fucked up about it.”

Far away
This ship is taking me far away
Far away from the memories
Of the people who care if I live or die

Starlight
I will be chasing the starlight
Until the end of my life
I don’t know if it’s worth it anymore
Hold you in my arms
I just wanted to hold
You in my arms
